Most of these awards were given specifically for Steven’s composition. Others are in recognition of the high quality of productions which feature his music.

Vivian Ellis Price: twice finalist in this prestigious prize for young writers for the musical stage, whose judges included Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Tim Rice and Don Black.

Cheltenham the Irish Favourite: Sony Radio Academy Award (best feature) – on which he both wrote the music and co-produced the programme.

David Attenborough’s Life of Birds (BBC1): nominated (with co-composer Ian Butcher) for an Ivor Novello Award for ‘Best TV Music’.

The Invincible Wolf (Green Umbrella): Merit Award for ‘Use of Music’, International Wildlife Film Festival, Missoula, Montana.

Nature Tech (Burning Gold Productions): News and Documentary Emmy Award 2008 for the ‘Magic of Motion’. Steven was one of the team.

Reindeer Girls (Burning Gold Productions, 2008): winner of ‘Best Use of Music’ and ‘Best Television’ categories, International Wildlife Film Festival, Missoula, Montana 2008.

Drain the Ocean: Wildscreen 2010 Panda Award finalist (Bristol, UK). Commissioned by National Geographic.
